In 2010, the Florentine musicians, Riccardo Senesi, Filippo Scarafia and Roberto Seidita founded the Trio Landini inspired by the genius of Francesco Landini, the most famous Florentine musician of the XIV century.
In 2011, they obtained their ABRSM diplomas (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music of London) while students at the Accademia Musicale di Firenze. Collaborating with the Florence Youth Orchestra conducted by Janet Zadow they have played in the most important cities of France, Finland, Germany and Austria. In the 2012 season they played "La Traviata" at the Teatro Mancinelli, conducted by the international acclaimed conductor Daniel Smith. Highlights of the Trio Landini include: In 2012, in Florence, they opened the conference in memory of the Italian intellectual Ernesto Balducci in Palazzo Medici Riccardi. In 2013, with the international pianist Ramin Bahraini, they opened Pistoia's cultural festival "Leggere la città". Also in Pistoia in 2013, they played at the opening of an exhibition of paintings by Silvia Percussi at the Residenza Puccini. That year, the Trio Landini also accompanied the actresses Marcellina Ruocco and Elisabetta Salvatori at the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence, during their literature cycle in the memory of the poet Mario Luzi. In 2014, the Trio Landini played at the opening of the new library in Galluzzo, a concert attended Matteo Renzi, amongst other important cultural and political figures. In 2015, the Trio Landini played a concert as part of the Musica in Giardino series held at Villa Ruschi in Calci, Pisa. |
